Run Multiple Operating Systems In One Computer

You can run multiple operating systems in one computer at the same time by using virtual machine. A virtual machine is like a computer in computer. I mean that if you will create a virtual machine then a virtual computer will be created in your computer.

A virtual machine enables a computer to run another operating system in addition to the one installed. Various reasons exist for using a virtual machine. For example, if you are running the Windows OS on a computer but need to work on Linux (Ubuntu) OS, you might set up a virtual machine running the Windows OS so that you can run Ubuntu (Linux).

To set up a virtual machine you need any software that allows you to create virtual machine and the operating system's setup (ISO) files and make sure that virtualization is enabled, if not then enable it from bios.

The two most popular softwares for creating virtual machine are:

  • Oracle Virtual Box
  • VMware
