Windows Product-Key is a 25 digit code which is used to activate windows operating system. It is also known as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Key. It tells that the windows you are using is pirated (local) or genuine (original, bought by Microsoft). This key looks like xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

How To Find Windows Product-Key via CMD

To find the product-key using CMD follow the given steps :-

• Open Command Prompt as an administrator
• Type wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Press Enter
• You will get a 25 digit code and that's your product-key

How To Check Whether Your Windows Is Genuine Or Pirated

To check whether your windows is genuine or pirated follow the given steps :-

• Open Command Prompt as an administrator
• Type slmgr /xpr
• Press Enter
• A popup windows will open. If The Machine Is Activated Permanently is written then your windows is genuine otherwise it is local.
